I'll get mine in early! It is somebody's attic, a bedsheet has been pegged up to serve as a projection screen, and somebody is projecting their own fractal program, possibly hooked up to a laptop? Hopefully then they can pop in a DVD and watch Die Hard I, II and III on the widescreen bedsheet!

I don't know if Richard's pegged the attic or not. It could also be a garage. There is definitely a piece of cloth hanging, but whether or not it is a bedsheet remains to be seen.
I believe it's a piece of cloth goods hanging over a stained glass window.
The sheet/projection screen is hanging from the rafters in a barn...it's a barn party. My guess from the projected image is that the party was attended by boomers born in the '60s.
In Malaysia, its called 'BATIK'. a cloth with hand-painting on it. for this one, they tied up the cloth partly and then dipped it in a basin of color and wait till it dried. wat was happenned then after the tied part been released is wat u see in the picture.. just gueesing!!!
Wow...four months this puzzle's been niggling me and I check in to see folks are STILL posting guesses. Maybe it's a dart board, anxiously awaiting the return of the players?
